Prof. Dr. med. Götz-Erik Trott

Erik Trott is specialist for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and for Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy. He is member of several scientific associations such as the German Society for Child Adolescent Psychiatry (DKJPP), the German Society for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (DGPPN) and the Society for Neuropharmacology and Pharmacopsychiatry (AGNP).

He got his qualification at the University of Würzburg in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Prof. Dr. G. Nissen), Psychiatry (Prof. Dr. O. Schrappe, Prof. Dr. H. Beckmann) and Psychotherapy (Prof. Dr. D. Wyss). He was assistant medical director at the Department for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from 1988-1997, he received the venia legendi for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry 1991, and he is Professor since 1993. In 1997, he became chairman for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Mainz. He is now in private practise at Aschaffenburg (close to Frankfurt/Main).

In 1988, he was co-founder of Psychotherapeutisches Kolleg Würzburg and of the German Society for the History of Medicine (DGGN).

Together with Gerhardt Nissen he published the textbook for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Psychische Störungen im Kindes- und Jugendalter) and the textbook for Child & Adolescent Psychopharmacology (Psychopharmaka im Kindes- und Jugendalter).
